Manuka Honey UK

Genuine manuka honey from Australia, raw and activity-led

Our manuka honey is produced in Australia from manuka flowers and bottled raw in glass. It is cold extracted, lightly cold filtered, unpasteurised and independently tested. Every jar shows its MGO value (the active ingredient linked to measured antibacterial activity) and, where relevant, a Total Activity rating. You get real manuka honey with natural antioxidant properties, a rich, smooth pour and a clean, complex flavour.

  • Raw, nothing added; no blends with traditional honey or syrup
  • Clear on origin (Australia), floral source and batch test results
  • Ready in the UK for fast delivery in great condition

What makes it genuine

Many shoppers ask for the best manuka honey or the unique manuka factor. In New Zealand you will often see UMF; we use MGO for Australian manuka. Higher MGO means a higher measured antibacterial effect. Our labels show MGO (for non-peroxide activity) and, where used, Total Activity (combined antimicrobial effects). That’s the straight, on-pack guide you need to choose with confidence.

  • Typical MGO steps: 263+, 300+, 400+, 514+, 829+, 1500+
  • Typical TA steps: TA 10+, TA 20+, TA 50+, TA 70+

How to choose and enjoy

  • MGO 263+ / 300+: delicious everyday raw manuka for toast, porridge, tea and food
  • MGO 400+ / 514+: a higher step many choose for a simple daily spoon or warm drink
  • MGO 829+ / 1500+: very high activity for those who want a clearly measured strength

Stir through warm water with lemon, drizzle over yoghurt, blend into smoothies or use in dressings and glazes. Keep below 40 °C to preserve natural character. Raw honey can crystallise; to soften, stand the closed jar in warm water and stir gently.

Transparency, testing and quality

Every batch is independently tested to Codex-aligned methods at recognised labs (including ChemCentre, WA and Analytica, NZ). Results verify antibacterial properties (MGO) and Total Activity where stated. We do not market medical grade honey; if you require products for topical medical use, follow professional guidance.

Important: We don’t offer medical advice and we don’t claim to treat wounds, heal wounds, prevent gingivitis, reduce dental plaque buildup, tooth decay, gum disease, gastric ulcers, acne, burns, cough, stomach pain or other infections or conditions. If you have a honey allergy or any concerns about an allergic reaction, speak with your GP before you consume honey or apply it topically.

Sourcing and beekeeping

Our manuka comes from low-impact apiaries in Australian manuka bush regions. Skilled honey producers manage healthy bees and hives, harvest in season, and cold extract to protect flavour and activity. We focus on Australian origin; if you are comparing with New Zealand / Zealand honey, note that UMF is a NZ grading, our Australian range is graded by MGO.
